Anybody have any guesses as to who will light the Olympic Flame at the opening ceremonies today? Whoever it will be, the decision was apparently a unanimous agreement by the committee.
I am thinking possibly the Queen. Or Bradley Wiggins, the Englishmen who just won the Tour de France. Take a guess and place your bets.

I have no idea. What are the general guidelines? Is it normally a sporting person (I know it was Cathy Freeman when we had the Olympics) or are politicians/royalty allowed?
I honestly don't have a clue about English sports people. If it was royalty, then if it was a unanimous agreement you'd think it would be the Queen. She's pretty unanimously liked. Charlie isn't popular at all. He might want to do it, but you wouldn't think there'd be a unanimous agreement. Wills is currently in the public eye because of his recent marriage, but if it was him that would be a huge snub to his dad.

Also, apparently David Beckham has ruled himself out, saying that it should be an olympian.

Daniel Craig. As he lights the flame Raoul Silva will secretly spritz him with gasoline causing Bond to burst into flames. He will survive the assassination attempt due to a flame-proof suit that Q will give him that morning. He will then make a wry comment to the camera and grab a Russian gymnast who is posing as an agent of the Russian Federal Security Service but who secretly works for MI6. The cameras will cut away just as it starts to get interesting.
