Burger Sides - WifeofBill - 05-12-2012 07:34 PM When you grill burgers what do you serve on the side? RE: Burger Sides - Presbygirl - 05-12-2012 08:00 PM Sometimes asparagus, cherry tomato and feta salad. http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/cherry-tomato-asparagus-salad-10000001990048/ Or, that watermelon, mint, feta salad with balsamic I've mentioned before. http://www.foodista.com/blog/2012/05/10/summer-watermelon-feta-and-mint-salad RE: Burger Sides - notdrinkingthekoolaid - 05-12-2012 09:28 PM Sometimes pasta salad--rainbow rotini, italian dressing, salami, provolone, carrots, etc. Sometimes baked beans or fruit salad...it really just depends on how hungry we are. Usually I just keep it simple. RE: Burger Sides - boymom - 05-12-2012 10:02 PM I tried shoestring potatoes, but they kept falling through the grate. RE: Burger Sides - bean - 05-13-2012 07:40 AM Chips hahahaha! Sometimes a sweet coleslaw.. The best is sweet potato salad but that is hard to make! So with burgers, we usually have whatever raw veggies are in the fridge, some of my husband's grandma's dill pickles, chips if we have any and dessert later. RE: Burger Sides - laurat99 - 05-13-2012 08:29 AM Does anyone remember the old Eddie Murphy bit about his Mama making hamburgers? She'd add vegetables to them and they would never taste as good as one from a fast food place? I'm like that. If I want a burger, I'm going to a place that does them right. I prefer steak on the grill. We're having steak with Onion Rings on the side tonight. RE: Burger Sides - Darrell - 05-13-2012 10:14 AM Chips, coleslaw, pasta salad, green salads...pretty much anything that can be served cold. RE: Burger Sides - Phatchick - 05-13-2012 11:07 AM At home coleslaw and potato salad. Or corn on the cob when it's in season. If we're eating out, I order sweet potato fries, which I love.
