Favorite Olfactory Sensations - Presbygirl - 04-11-2012 04:47 PM

My sense of smell is acute. Sometimes when cooking, I can be transported to places I have visited, or even have memories triggered.

Some of my favorite smells are:

Olive oil and garlic sautéing
Lavender
Used book stores
Hardware stores
A grill warming up

What are yours??? Smile

Freshly cut grass. Old Spice. Clean babies. And I have read somewhere that smell is the best sense to help trigger memories.

Well, maybe at least 5 minutes newborn. Cause there's all that goo and stuff that comes with the baby. Tongue

Good coffee.
Sawdust.
The Ocean. (I'm getting a little sad just thinking about it)

I don't like to drink coffee, but I do like the roasted smell. And I love sawdust. Took wood shop twice in h.s.
