BJU's new mascot is ...the Bruin.
It's all over my facebook as I'm an alumnus and have several friends who are and a few friends who are current students. The pictures of the "Midnight Madness" event where they unveiled the mascot...look like staged propaganda to me. Happy, smiling students who were allowed to be up a little later than normal AND wear facepaint...kind of misrepresents what the U is all about...just sayin.

Don't have an opinion either way about the mascot itself. (The logo itself reminds me of the Memphis Grizzlies NBA team.). The pictures from the big unveil were just odd is all.

Bruins reminds me of the Boston Bruins hockey team. And I just want to say that our game 7 win against them in the playoffs a couple years ago was the most awesome game I've ever been to see. Especially since it was a microcosm of the series. Down by 3 and come back to win 4-3.
