Do you think Sheriff Babeu's long-term political career is in jeopardy now he acknowledges he's gay? His big political platform is stopping illegal immigration, but will his sexual orientation make him unworthy to conservative voters? Or will the fact he had a relationship with an illegal Mexican and then threatened to use his power to deport this man be the deal breaker?

If I read the articles right, his boyfriend was legal. Unfortunately, threatening deportation is what they do when they don't like a Mexical person, legal or not.

I thought the boyfriend was illegal--if so, my bad. Still an (attempted) misuse of power, which makes him slime.
