Yeah, well now google knows that I've searched "I Like Big Butts." I hope no one else EVER gets on my computer and sees that!

Anybody who starts a sentence with "I'm not judging, BUT..." will say the most judgmental things you have ever heard. Kind of like people who start their sentences with "I'm not racist, BUT..."

Big Grin

That was the first non-fundy song I heard, so it holds a dear spot in my appendix. <3 SouthPaw

Fundy teen who used to be in fundy high: "Bus drivers are mean. Is it because they spend their lives driving public school kids around? Idk. But their [sic] mean."
Her mom: "I hate that for you, why would they be mean to one of the only kids on the bus who will be respectful and kind to them??"

I get that the mom is kinda complimenting her daughter, but the two posts kinda looked judgmental towards public school kids IMO, like the bus driver is mad because he/she has to drive around the PS kids rather than the "perfect" IFB school kids.

Not from FB...from a figure skating fan board, a lovely Jesus Juke/Fundy Strike:

Argument about problems with competition scoring (guy falls three times and wins anyway):

Commenter 1 responds to defenders of the International Skating Union's absurd Code of Points:

"Here we go again. The posts justifying the CoP get longer and longer and more and more passionate. "Read more ISU scripture and you will be saved.""

And he is quickly Jesus Juked:

"While I'm not at all involved with anything figure skating (am just learning how to skate), and so I have nothing of value to add to the conversation about scoring systems, but I've got to say that making a mockery of the Bible is completely inappropriate for this discussion."

*headdesk*

An IFB church just posted this quote:

Quote:Has it ever occurred to you that 100 pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of 1 accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each 1 must individually bow. So 100 worshipers met together, each 1 looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be were they to become "unity" conscious
~ AW Tozer (20th C Pastor)

Too bad about that Jesus fellow, praying in the garden that we would be one. I guess He shouldn't have been thinking about "unity."

(I'm not trying to diss Tozer; I'm just annoyed at how the IFB church is patting itself on the back for not caring about "unity." The ironic thing is that if that church were really focused on Jesus, they WOULD find themselves united with a whole bunch of other awesome Christians, but instead they nitpick about music and entertainment choices.)
