  1. Could this be an entry for the Washington Post’s annual Peeps Show contest? People make dioramas out of Peeps every spring.

Just found out those Westboro crazies are going to be in St. Louis a week from today. Nice.

      1. Great story! We saw some counter-protesters like that at the gatherings on the night that NY legalized same-sex marriage, and I think anyone who wasn’t already crying from happiness were doing so after that! πŸ˜€

  2. Just re-pinned a peeps flower display on Pinterest, and came back to find this. πŸ˜† Serendipity: it kills me. (Or pre-destination, as you please. Whatever! πŸ˜‰ ) ANYWAY, Boymom, congrats on first, and Macushlalondra, this is a FAVE cookie of mine! OH NO! Does this mean I am living in sin? (I mean, more sin than usual!)

    1. Not only are you in sin but derst I say you must be horribly backslidden sister! Why eat ye of the fruit that our Lord hath so plainly cursed?? I suggest you get right with gid and your mog (as you owe him a personal apology for this gastrological transgression) during the next church service lest you be up for church discipline and be required to keep a sacred food diary for accountability… πŸ˜› πŸ˜† πŸ™„ It is wierd how IFBs pick and choose what they interpret literally and what they don’t… πŸ™„

      1. Happy day, I no longer have a MOG, but a vicar, who keeps Jesus first in every service. I will ask him though, if he thinks my love of Fig Newtons needs reconciliation… πŸ˜‰

        1. Newton now makes other flavors besides fig. I like the strawberry and the apple flavors. Probably those are flavors that God doesn’t hate too. I remember hearing a sermon while at FBC all about how the fruit in the garden was probably grapes. I think it might have been Jim Vinyard who preached it. Where was I?

        2. His last name is Vineyard, and he thinks all the fruit was grapes?? πŸ™„ He IS a fruit. What an oaf! πŸ™„

        3. Sims, on another forum, several years ago, a former member of Bob Gray’s(TX) church/college recalled how a Bible teacher suggested the forbidden fruit was grapes. Then a mature student shattered his hypothesis by reminding him that grapes don’t grow on trees. Must’ve been an awkward moment in class…

  3. Not crazy about fig newtons, but I wanna eat those peeps!

(now, what was the point of this picture, again?) πŸ˜‰

  4. This is WAY too cute and I want to put it on my facebook page. I love making statements with food.

      1. I am worried you are not getting enough sugar. Please go get aspoonful from the canister, and take it straight. Okay, pour it onto a pile of whipped cream first. Okay, put that on top of ice cream first. I hate to see you with these cravings.

  5. Even given the little hate signs . . . that is just too darn cute!!!!

My guess is it was an entry into the annual peep diorama contest (can’t remember the official name but I’m sure you can google it.)

And a first for me: I’m in the first 10 responders — yay!

  6. I find the angry little faces on the peeps cute.

And how appropriate. Just as you wouldn’t expect to see peeps with an angry face, you wouldn’t expect to see a Christian with an angry face.

  7. Westboro Bunny Church, I rebuke you with this:

But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it.

    Micah 4:4

    1. I want to make a β€œgod hates fats” web-site and post verses condemning gluttony and post pictures of John Hagee and other fundie leaders.
I could also claim that Paula Dean and Adam Richman were part of Satan’s evil fat agenda. Because once all Americans are out of shape, we will be too fat to run away from Obama’s evil socialist, secular, muslim conspiracy.

  8. And the Bible verse is in Papyrus font. If the creator of this masterpiece isn’t a regular SFL reader, (s)he should be.

  9. The worst is that these aren’t even natural figs. They are a mutant form. Even more deplorable.
